“Every moment has led me to this…” Deborah Jalanivich

Looking back over Deborah’s life, it seems her mission always has been to help others. Some of her earliest childhood memories held many parallels between then and now.

At about 5 years old, she was letting her family’s preacher know she didn’t understand his God; her God was Love, and his God scared her. Then just a few years later, she was holding church in the attic for all the neighborhood kids (which she charged  for), only to be stopped by their parents asking Deborah’s parents to stop her from holding church. Wonder what those sermons were? Was this little girl ahead of her time? An entrepreneur was born!

Being a hyperactive child (today she’d be labeled ADHD), Deborah’s retrospective gratitude goes out to her parents, who allowed her uniqueness. They encouraged her to be who she was. They showed her how to direct that abundance of energy, inside her from birth. She learned in ways different from others. But the point is… she learned.

As both a social butterfly and drama queen, Deborah’s high school dream was to act. Her parents, however, wanted her in medical school. To satisfy them, she attended Memphis State University, majoring in pre-med, and then went on to the University of Tennessee, Medical Units in Memphis. The subjects of anatomy, biology, and physics captured her undivided attention and interest.

Empathy Took Over and Changed Everything

Actually working in the hospital, however, was more of a challenge. Compassion seemed to be her enemy. At that point in her life, Deborah had not developed any tools of detachment. In wanting to help others, she took on too much from them, emotionally and intellectually. It was not a good thing. Or maybe too much of a good thing; it just was not working for her.

As a result, the business world was looking much more appealing. She needed a safer path. She delved into accounting, where she worked for many years. She moved to Colorado in 1978 and, later again in 1982 after a brief stint in Montana, while still working as an accountant. During this time, she also began her trek, this time as an adult, down the spiritual path. She feels blessed to have found and worked with many wonderful teachers through the years.

Deborah's Studies

She studied Edgar Cayce, Jane Roberts, Ruth Montgomery and many others through the 1980’s. Her beloved mentor, Muree Palkowsky, an astrologer, came into her life. Muree’s ongoing guidance helped Deborah move into the world of communications, a direction that would become important in various ways. After moving into the Rocky Mountains in 1985, Deborah started an advertising agency that evolved into a local origination television station.

She was now realizing that feeling: “Wow, I have found my passion!” She discovered with amazement how she could work many hours without realizing how long she had been working because she so loved what she was doing. Her heart was singing. She knew with certainty she needed to keep that song alive! She ventured into other business options, making new connections, and always striving to reach for more.

Spiritual Growth

Her quest for growth continued as she struggled to understand what was really going on, deep inside herself. She knew the spiritual, emotional, and physical parts of her were all somehow connected; she just didn’t understand exactly how. She was swept into various goal-setting, positive thinking journeys, excitedly committing to visualizing good health, happiness and wealth. At the same time, she began to notice some recurring patterns in her life, involving injury and illness. This seemed in conflict with all the positive mind-sets she had been taught to embrace. Yet she could not deny what was happening -- a serious closed-head injury resulting from an auto accident caused head and back pain, and then there were the frequent asthmatic episodes. It was not long before another accident caused more back injuries.

The closed-head injury forced Deborah to move to a more structured working environment, and she accepted a job for a local newspaper. This offered Deborah a routine, with the added advantage of dealing with people in the community and allowing some of her creative side to come forth. As time passed, she realized her recurring patterns of injury and illness were continuing.

Connecting Within

Still, she was yearning to fulfill a mission that was building deep in her soul -- to understand herself more completely and to help others find that same understanding. At that time Deborah did not even have words to describe what she was after; she was nevertheless determined to find it. She studied the works of Dr. Brugh Joy in the area of Heart Centered Transformation and Spiritual Enlightenment. She worked with Drunvalo Melchizedek to understand the Flower of Life teachings and the sacred space of the heart. She studied the works of Gregg Braden, and began to understand the exciting connection between Science and Spirituality. She also found a whole-life superfood that began to feed the body and help it do as it was created to do -- heal, build, and grow. This superfood also opened the way to a significant new stream of income. New lights were shining in Deborah’s future!

When Deborah discovered the work of Asara Lovejoy and “Commanding Wealth,” she knew she needed to understand more fully the power of her own biology and the life changing power of the theta brainwave, putting her in charge of her own life in amazing new ways. She continued to study with Asara and became certified as a Commanding Wealth® Seminar Leader, One Command® Seminar Leader, One Command® Practitioner, One Command® Practitioner Teacher, and Advanced Theta Healing Practitioner.
